Prince William has apparently received a massive support against his uncle former Duke of York Andrew following his arrest last month.
According to reports, William believes his disgraced uncle former Duke of York Andrew needs to ‘suffer serious consequences’, including being cut from the line of succession amid calls to remove him.
Talking to the Heat World, the close confidant said the future king had wanted to remove Andrew from the line when the former Duke was stripped of his military and royal titles last year.
And now, Andrew’s arrest has only strengthened the Prince of Wales fight to ‘cut out’ his uncle for good.
The palace insider claims, “William is absolutely blue in the face over this and has been for months. In his mind, Andrew should have been removed from the line of succession immediately and cut out of royal life completely."
Amid Prince William’s demand, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Saturday that former prince Andrew should be removed from the line of royal succession over his "deplorable" behaviour.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is being investigated for alleged misconduct in public office following revelations about his dealings with the late US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
"There is a process in order to do it....but I certainly think his actions which are deplorable and have caused him to be stripped of his royal titles, certainly... necessitate his removal from the line of succession," Carney told reporters in Tokyo.
Carney's comment comes after Australia and New Zealand announced support to remove Andrew from the line of succession.
Britain would have to initiate any change to the line of royal succession -- but it would need the agreement of the 14 other Commonwealth realms that have King Charles III as head of state.
