Prince Harry, Meghan Markle announce new humanitarian trip to Jordan

Despite no longer being deemed working royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to step out for a two day visit of Jordan, that too alongside the Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

Their joint trip is taking place in order to highlight the ongoing health crisis that is reaching global levels, fast, especially in times of conflict.

According to a report by the office of the royals who have retained their Dukedom, their visit will see them at WHO partner organizations as well as alongside those on the frontline of the health and mental wellness initiatives.

What is pertinent to mention about this trip is that it expands on the existing connection between Prince Harry who played a huge role in vaccine equity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In terms of earlier work he also met Dr Tedros at Imperial College London's Centre for Blast Injury Studies back in September.

Ahead of this trip there were also questions swirling around regarding the couple’s political stance on the conflicts in the Middle East and according to a source “the couple are pro-family and pro-children, and their philanthropic work reflects this value and deep-rooted care for humanity.”
