Kensington Palace has shared a major update regarding Princess of Wales Kate Middleton a day after plans of Meghan Markle to return to UK were disclosed.
Royal expert Rebecca English took to X, formerly Twitter handle, and shared Kensington Palace announcement.
She tweeted, “NEW: The Princess of Wales, Patron of the Rugby Football Union, will host a reception at Windsor Castle for the England Women’s Rugby team, following their World Cup win in September 2025 on Thursday January 15.”
The palace announcement comes after Meghan set date for return to Britain with Prince Harry.
As per reports, Meghan is said to have set a date for a return to Britain in 2026 - the first time she will visit the UK since the late Queen's funeral.
Meghan has earmarked a summer comeback, with plans to attend an Invictus Games event in Birmingham on July 10.
Archie and Lilibet doting mother is expected to accompany Harry to the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games, the sporting competition he established for wounded military personnel.
However, according to the Sun, Meghan Markle’s trip hinges entirely on the outcome of an ongoing security assessment, with a source saying: "Security is always going to be the deciding factor in this."
Meanwhile, in September, England won the Women's Rugby World Cup for the first time since 2014 after beating Canada 33-13.
