Seven Border MP officials dismissed for assaulting civilian in Rajanpur

LAHORE: The Commandant Border Military Police (BMP) / Baloch Levy, Nasir Shahzad Dogar has dismissed seven officials involved in the physical assault of a civilian.

The action followed directives of Deputy Commissioner Rajanpur, Shafqatullah Mushtaq. According to an official order issued by the Commandant’s Office, the disciplinary action was taken under the PEEDA Act 2006 and BMP/Baloch Levy Service Rules 2009 after an inquiry confirmed the involvement of the officials in torturing the civilian, Muhammad Siddique Gorchani, bringing disrepute to the disciplined force.

The dismissed officials included Daffedar Saif Ullah, Daffedar Kashif Ali, Naib Daffedar Khuda Bakhsh, Sawar Shah Jahan, and Sawar Ahsan Ullah Jiskani. They failed to submit a written reply to the show-cause notice and did not appear before the competent authority for a personal hearing. The inquiry officer found the accused officials guilty of misconduct.
