2 killed, four injured as jeep falls into ditch in Shangla

SHANGLAT: Two people, including a woman, were killed four others were injured when a jeep plunged into a ravine in the Lari Naridale area of Shangla district on TuesdayAccording to police sources, the vehicle was traveling on the Lari-Naridale Road when the driver reportedly lost control, causing it to fall into a deep ditch.

Those who lost their lives were identified as Sher Nawaz, son of Gul Rahim, and a woman whose name could not be confirmed. The injured were named as Zaibullah, Hidayatullah, Fazal Rabi (the driver), and another unidentified person.

Local residents immediately alerted the police and rescue teams, who rushed to the site and shifted the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital Alpuri, where they were provided with first aid.Initial investigations suggest that over-speeding or loss of control on a sharp turn may have caused the accident. Police have launched further inquiries to determine the exact cause.
