Target killer die in Bajaur operation

KHAR: The security forces conducted an operation based on intelligence reports and killed Ziauddin alias Ibrahim Idrees, who was a high-profile alleged target killer affiliated with the Daesh Khorasan, in Kausar area of Bajaur tribal district on Monday.

According to sources, the slain militant Ziauddin was reportedly involved in several high-profile target killings, including the murders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Rehan Zeb, Awami National Party (ANP)’s Maulana Khan Zeb, Assistant commissioner of Nawagai, members of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl, and police officials.

Reports revealed that Ziauddin had been imprisoned in Afghanistan’s Pul-e-Charkhi Jail before the Taliban takeover, but he was later released after they came to power.Sources said that he sneaked into Pakistan from Afghanistan in 2023.
