ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad extended the interim bail of Bushra Bibi, wife of the PTI founder, in a protest case until November 15. The hearing, scheduled before Judge Chaudhry Amir Zia, was postponed due to his nonnavailability. The court adjourned further hearings on Bushra Bibi’s pre-arrest bail application until November 15.
The case, registered at Ramna police station, includes charges under various sections, including the Anti-Terrorism Act, related to a protest on November 26. The court directed the parties to present arguments at the next hearing.In a separate case, District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka rejected the objections of the accused to a supplementary challan and the prosecution’s miscellaneous application for voice matching in a controversial tweet case involving Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha. The court fixed October 29 as the date for filing the indictment.
