BS Computer Science: Students want admission process commenced

LANDIKOTAL: Students of Government Postgraduate College here on Saturday threatened to block the Pak-Afghan Highway to protest the delay in admission process for the BS computer science programme.

Speaking at press conference, president of the college students association Daud Shinwari, general secretary Basit and others said that it had been over a month since the intermediate examination results were announced, but the admission process for the BS program could not begin.

The students said that all necessary arrangements for the BS computer science programme, including the establishment of a computer lab, were completed last year but the college administration failed to inform the university authorities in time.

Daud said the university’s inspection team delayed the visit to the college due to the negligence of its administration.

The students said that the admission portal could only be opened after the visit by the inspection team of the university, which was repeatedly postponed, causing great among students.

They demanded the immediate opening of the admission portal to prevent further loss of their valuable time.

The students urged the college and university administrations, parliamentarians and Education Department to take notice of the issue.
