AVCC recovers kidnapped minor girl

The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) of Karachi police on Thursday recovered a four-year-old girl who had been abducted from Hijrat Colony in August this year.

According to police, on August 25, the minor girl, identified as Maira, daughter of Israr Khan, was playing outside her home when unidentified suspects kidnapped her. Following the incident, FIR No. 165/25 was registered at the Civil Lines police station under Section 364-A of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The investigation was later transferred to the AVCC Karachi.

A spokesperson for the AVCC said that, under the supervision of SSP AVCC Karachi, a special police team was constituted to trace and recover the kidnapped child. Acting on technical intelligence and human sources, the team conducted a raid in Quetta, successfully recovering the abducted girl safe and unharmed. Following the recovery, the complainant and the victim’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to SSP AVCC/CIA Karachi Asif Raza Baloch and his team.
