RAWALPINDI: PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi Wednesday did not furnish with the court the answers to the questionnaire in the Toshakhana-II case.

A special court on Monday granted last opportunity to the former ruling couple to prove themselves innocent. The court shared the questionnaire with the accused and sought answers on the next hearing (October 8). The cross-examination of the last prosecution witness against the couple had been completed during the last hearing on Monday.

Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand heard the case at Adiala Jail. The accused were produced before the court.

The court gave the questionnaire under Section 342 to the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi and gave them the final chance to prove their innocence and present witnesses in their defence.

However, the defence lawyers failed to submit their answers to the questionnaire under Section 342 on October 8. The court had also given an opportunity to the lawyers of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to consult with the accused.
