ISLAMABAD: The United States on Sunday handed over relief goods to Pakistani authorities for flood victims in the country.

“The United States stands with the people of Pakistan, whose lives have been uprooted by widespread, catastrophic flooding. The Department of State is delivering food, shelter and other forms of lifesaving disaster relief to impacted communities,” said the US Embassy in Islamabad in a statement as the US military delivered essential supplies to the Pakistan Army at Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi.

She extended condolences to the people of Pakistan over damage to public life and property and said the United States was profoundly saddened by the loss of life and destruction of homes and livelihoods.
