PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) central General Secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain said Friday his party believed in the supremacy of democracy and would never become part of attempts aimed at derailing democracy in the country.
Through a statement issued here, he said the ANP had time and again presented its stance on the floor of the parliament.
He declared that his party stood with the opposition on Panama Leaks issue but “would never become part of any undemocratic move in this connection.” Referring to the murder of ANP’s former MPA at Yar Hussain in Swabi, Hussain said that both federal and provincial government were keeping a mum over the target killing of party’s workers and activists.
