KHAR: The entrance gate of the residence of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Dr Hameedur Rehman was destroyed in a blast triggered by improvised explosive device (IED) in Khar, the headquarters of Bjauar tribal district, on Thursday.
However, no casualty was reported in the explosion.
The incident took place at 4:35am at the home of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) MPA from constituency PK-19 and chairman of the District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC), located in Khar.
Fortunately, Dr Hameedur Rehman was not present at the residence at the time of explosion.
In a statement to the media, Dr Hameedur Rehman expressed gratitude to the Allah almighty for the safety of his family and staff.
“The one who protects is Greater than those who intend harm. May Allah protect us from such incidents in the future,” he added.
He vowed to continue his efforts for peace and development in the region, saying he would carry on working for the uplift and peace in his constituency.
