RAWALPINDI: The security forces have killed three Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The forces picked up the movement of a group of Khwarij, opposite general area Esham in North Waziristan District, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the ISPR said in a statement.

The troops effectively engaged the group and killed two Khwarij. One of the terrorists was identified as Qasim, an Afghan national, who was actively serving in the Afghan border police. In another IBO conducted in Tank District, the troops successfully neutralised another Afghan Khwarij belonging to Fitna al Khwarij. He was identified as Ikramuddin alias Abu Dajana.

These incidents reveal continued involvement of Afghan nationals in numerous terrorist activities against innocent civilians and security forces inside Pakistan. Pakistan has repeatedly asked the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij.

The ISPR said the security forces remain resolute in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Khwarij found in the area.
