Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fata organiser Iqbal Afridi was leading the protest camp set up in front of the Peshawar Press Club for the last two months.

Assistant Political Agent of Bara Muhammad Arif, Political Tehsildar Shamsul Islam and Political Naib Tehsildar Khalid Khan met the representatives of the protesters.

They assured the protesters that the government would provide basic facilities to the IDPs from Khyber Agency. “We will stage protest from 1st August if the government didn’t provide us facilities by 31 July,” Iqbal Afridi said, adding the protest camp would be set up in front of the Khyber House in Peshawar.

Muhammad Arif said the political administration in collaboration with the Fata Disaster Management Authority and UNCHR would launch rehabilitation programme and provide basic facilities to the Bara IDPs.
