ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Tuesday demanded clarification from the federal government on the purported deployment of Pakistani troops in Gaza.

“Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf demands that the Government of Pakistan immediately take the nation, parliament and all political leadership of the country, including Imran Khan, into confidence on this issue, clarify facts, and refrain from any non-transparent or secretive policy in this regard,” a statement issued by the party said.

According to the party’s central media department, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf expressed deep concern over the reports circulating in various national and international media outlets and Israeli media that Pakistan is allegedly considering sending its military forces under the ‘Gaza Peace Agreement’.

“As the largest public representative party in the country, we demand a clear clarification from the federal government as to whether such a proposal is really under consideration or not,” a statement issued by the party says.

The Government of Pakistan’s decision to send our military forces to Gaza, it emphasized, is a sensitive national decision that should be taken only after transparent consultations and national consensus.
