5-years-old boy suffers head injury after falling from fairground ride at Spilman’s farm

A young boy reportedly fell from a ride in an upsetting incident on Friday night October 17, 2025.

As reported by The Sun, the little boy was rushed to hospital after he fell from a fairground ride while enjoying a funfair with family at Spilman’s farm in North Yorkshire.

Emergency services including the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) and police converged at Spilman’s Farm in Little Sessay area of Thirsk, immediately after the boy fell.

The staff reported that the little boy had suffered a head injury and had to be airlifted to hospital after falling out of a fairground ride.

Families present at the farm got horrified after the tragic incident sparked kids’ safety concerns.

Spilman’s farm spokesperson confirmed the ride was swiftly closed after the incident and the boy was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for further treatment.

“It was a really upsetting thing to happen, but thankfully the little boy is fine and recovering,” Spilman’s farm management expressed their concerns.
