PESHAWAR: More than 80 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the KP Assembly have been accommodated at the Chief Minister’s House ahead of the provincial legislature session convened to elect the new chief minister.

According to the sources, around five to 10 MPAs go home and return afterward.

The members have been lodged at the CM’s House to avoid any untoward incident.

The sources added that MPAs have been directed not to attend unnecessary phone calls.

PTI’s nominated candidate for chief minister’s slot, Sohail Afridi, attended the parliamentary party meeting along with Akram Raja and other leaders.

A strategy was finalized for the election of the chief minister.

A protest plan was also discussed in case of any unconstitutional move during the CM’s election.

The sources said Sohail Afridi, addressed the meeting, saying: “The PTI founder has nominated me, and we will move forward in line with his directives.” The members expressed full support for Sohail Afridi.
