KARACHI: Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Sanaullah Khan Zehri on Thursday visited Edhi Centre in Mithadar to condole the death of the founder of Edhi Foundation Abdul Sattar Edhi with his son Faisal Edhi.
The Balochistan CM also offered Fateha for the departed soul. He announced Rs0.5 million on behalf of Balochistan government for Edhi Foundation besides giving land in Balochistan so that the foundation could do its welfare activities there. Talking to newsmen after his visit, Balochistan CM said late Edhi Sahib was a noble personality of the country. The nation should follow his footsteps while everybody should play its part to strengthen the Edhi Foundation. He said the services rendered by Edhi Foundation for the cause of humanity were highly marvelous and praiseworthy.
He said all the concerned stakeholders were required to do the best of their efforts to carry forward the mission of late Edhi Sahib. In this regard every possible help would be extended to Edhi Foundation. He also suggested that details regarding life and services of Edhi Sahib should be made part of school-level curricula.
To a question, the Balochistan CM said the Balochistan government had been rendering utmost support to locate the kidnapped son of chief justice of Sindh High Court as his government had sealed all entry and exit routes at Balochistan border as soon as the news regarding the kidnapping came in. He said sons of former prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and slain Punjab governor Salman Taseer had been recovered during the term of his government.
