ISLAMABAD: US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here on Thursday.

The two discussed ways to strengthen Pakistan-US relations and enhance cooperation in key sectors, especially trade and investment.

Dar expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral relations, citing recent high-level engagements in New York and Washington, according to an official statement.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and the wider region.

The deputy prime minister said Pakistan wanted to deepen cooperation with the United States across diverse fields. The US envoy conveyed American companies’ “strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s energy, critical minerals and information technology sectors.”
