RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued an arrest warrant for Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, in a case registered at the Sadiqabad Police Station over the November 26, 2024, protest.

During the hearing Wednesday, the court rejected Aleema Khan’s plea for a one-day exemption from personal appearance and directed her indictment on October 11, 2025. Aleema was scheduled to be indicted in the case earlier but did not appear before the court. The prosecutor objected, stating that the person applying on Aleema’s behalf was not her lawyer and lacked the authority to file an application without a power of attorney. On this basis, ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah dismissed Aleema’s exemption application and issued bailable arrest warrants for her. The 10 other suspects in the case appeared in court, and the hearing was adjourned until October 11, 2025.
