ISLAMABAD: China on Saturday delivered another consignment of humanitarian relief goods for the flood-affected families in Pakistan.
A special relief aircraft carrying 90 tonnes of supplies arrived at the Islamabad International Airport, bringing 700 tents, 16,000 blankets, 1,000 life jackets, and 4,000 sleeping bags to support communities impacted by recent floods.
On September 28, China had sent two relief flights carrying 300 tents and 9,000 blankets for flood victims.
The shipment arrived only days after the Chinese embassy announced that Beijing would provide humanitarian items worth $14 million to Islamabad. The support is in addition to the $2 million in emergency assistance extended to Islamabad last month to help manage the deadly floods.
