NA to take up Asaan Karobar, two other key bills today

ISLAMABAD: The Asaan Karobar Bill, 2025 is among three bills to be taken up for passage on the first day of the National Assembly session scheduled for Monday (today) at 5pm.

The Asaan Karobar bill provides for reforms of the regulatory regime applicable to business, trade and investment by removing cumbersome and complex regulatory requirements and to establish the Pakistan Regulatory Registry and the Pakistan Business Portal.

The other two bills are the Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and the Pakistan Infrastructure Development and Assets Management Authority Bill, 2025.

PML-N MNAs Anjum Aqeel Khan and Ibrar Ahmad will move a calling attention regarding delay in payment to persons whose land was acquired by the CDA in sectors E-12, C-13, C-14, C-15, C-16 and H-16.

Prior to the beginning of Monday’s proceedings, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will chair a meeting of parliamentary leaders of the parties in the House.

The meeting will take up issues which are to be discussed during the session.

The House is likely to take up matters including Gaza situation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to the United States, signing of defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and devastation caused by floods across the country.
