NAB conducts public auction of 6 Bahria Town properties

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Islamabad/ Rawalpindi conducted a public auction of six commercial properties linked to Bahria Town on Thursday, as part of efforts to recover defaulted funds from a court-approved 2019 plea bargain agreement. According to NAB’s announcement, Rubaish Marquee was successfully auctioned for Rs508 million, Rs20 million above its reserved price, with the payment and transfer process currently under way. For Corporate Office-I, conditional offers totaling Rs876 million were received, while Corporate Office-II attracted conditional offers worth Rs881.5 million. Both cases await final approval from NAB’s competent authority. Three properties failed to attract qualifying bids and will be re-auctioned at a later date. NAB emphasised its commitment to transparent recovery of public funds and strict enforcement of accountability laws in its official statement.
