Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will have the best summer holiday stories when they return to school for the next academic year.
The royal siblings will tag along with their parents, Prince William and Princess Kate as they head to the Scottish Highlands for a summer retreat. The Wales children will be joining King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral Castle, continuing a long-standing family tradition.
The trio wrapped up their school year at Lambrook in Bracknell on July 5. George, 11, and Charlotte, 10, kicked off their summer with a high-profile appearance at the Wimbledon Men’s Final, while 7-year-old Louis remained at home.
But for their Scottish retreat, Louis will join the rest of his family as they vacation in the tranquil hills of Scotland — just like their grandmother used to do.
Queen Elizabeth II famously adored Balmoral, calling it “heaven.” She spent nearly every summer there along with her husband Prince Philip and even their dogs.
That sense of peace may be exactly what Princess Kate is looking forward to this summer, especially after her recent return to public life amid her cancer remission.
The children are expected back at Lambrook on September 3, with Prince George entering his final year before likely transitioning to Eton or Marlborough.
