A spokesperson for the Sindh Governor House has issued a clarification regarding the situation that arose during the visit of Sindh Acting Governor Syed Awais Qadir Shah to the Governor House on Friday.
The spokesperson claimed a misunderstanding occurred on part of the acting governor. Senior officials, including the home secretary, inspector general of Sindh, and DIGs of the East, West, and South zones, as well as officers from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and the Special Branch, were already present in the conference room of the Governor's House for the scheduled meeting.
The spokesperson further clarified that an office designated for the Acting Governor had been prepared in advance, and had there been a timely request to use the main office, necessary arrangements would have been made immediately.
Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, taking the matter seriously, has directed his principal secretary to conduct an impartial inquiry into the incident within 24 hours. He also emphasised that the Governor's House had always remained open for the public and he held the acting governor in high regard as the speaker of the Sindh Assembly as well as on a personal level.
