A three-member search committee headed by Chairman Sindh Higher Education Commission Dr Tariq Rafi has approved the names of Faqir Muhammad Lakho for the post of chairman of the Intermediate Board Karachi, Col. (retd) Alamdar Raza for the post of the Mirpurkhas Board and Dr. Shuja for the post of the Hyderabad Board.
On Wednesday, the search committee had called nine additional candidates for interviews, where Dr Tariq Rafi, Secretary Boards and Universities Abbas Baloch and Secretary Colleges Shahab Qamar Ansari interviewed the candidates and selected three additional candidates based on their marks.
Among these candidates, Faqir Muhammad Lakho secured 55.9 marks. After him, Dr Shuja got 55.8 marks and Col. (retd) Syed Muhammad Alamdar Raza scored 55.4 marks. While Dr Zulfiqar Ali Memon got 53.2 marks, Abid Ali Mughal 52 marks, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah 51.25 marks, Qazi Arif Ali 51.51 marks, Javed Ali Memon 50.67 marks, Ali Gohar 50.67 marks and Ali Gohar Ahmed 50.67 scored marks.
