Rawalpindi: The Commissioner Engineer Aamir Khattak on Monday directed deputy commissioners of all the five districts of Rawalpindi Division to immediately identify 3 to 5 kanals of government land in each tehsil for setting up new Sahulat Bazaars.
The Sahulat Bazaars, which was a flagship project of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, would help provide essential commodities to the public at affordable prices, he added.
The commissioner was chairing a meeting on the establishment of Sahulat Bazaars, a DPR news release said. The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Commissioner’s Office and heads of various departments, while the deputy commissioners of Jhelum, Murree, Attock and Chakwal participated through video link.
