Over 33,000 register for PU undergraduate programme entrance test

LAHORE:Punjab University (PU) on Sunday organised its test for admissions in undergraduate programmes across the country. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Ali visited the examination centres in Islamabad and Rawalpindi while other officials visited the examination centres in City.

A PU spokesperson said that more than 33,000 students registered for the entrance test. He said that examination centres have been set up in 20 cities, including Islamabad, Skardu, Gilgit, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar. The spokesperson said that the entrance test is being conducted in 114 examination centres across the country and seven types of tests are being conducted for admissions to all undergraduate programmes. He said that 25 percent of the marks for undergraduate admissions are reserved for the test and the test was conducted in two shifts for the convenience of the students. The spokesperson said that shuttle service was also provided for students while suitable places and water were also arranged for parents.
