Islamabad: The Eidul Azha prayer at the Faisal Masjid here will be held at 6:30am today (Saturday), marking the beginning of the festival of sacrifice.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General of the Da’wah Academy of the International Islamic University, will deliver the Eid sermon and lead the prayer. Thousands of worshippers are expected to gather at the grand mosque to offer Eid prayers and commemorate the religious significance of the day.

Security arrangements have been made by authorities for worshippers both inside and outside the premises. Special traffic management plans have also been put in place to ensure smooth movement around the mosque.

After the prayer, worshippers will perform the ritual of animal sacrifice before distributing meat among family, friends and the underprivileged. The administration has urged citizens to arrive early to avoid overcrowding and to follow all safety protocols.
