MANSEHRA: The Upper Kohistan district administration has launched a crackdown on transporters overcharging passengers, particularly amid the seasonal influx of locals returning from other parts of the country on Eidul Azha.

A joint team of police and district administration, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Khuram Jadoon, intercepted coaches and passenger vehicles plying within the district and to other destinations, imposing fines on those found charging fares beyond the approved rates.
