Rawalpindi:Under the emotions of national solidarity, patriotism, and true love, Urdu Department at the Fatma Jinnah University for Women (FJWU) organised a ‘mushaira’ in the main Auditorium of the university, says a press release.
Aqeel Anjum (MNA Muslim League Noon) presided over the event and Dr. Farhat Jabeen Virk poet and Head of Urdu Department was the conveyor. Poets from all over the country recited their lines written on the love for the country, national unity and sacrifices given by Pakistan army. Many distinguished poets participated in the programme.
Among them were, major Dilawar Ali (Rahat Sarhadi), Brigadier Awais Zameer, Colonel Khalid Mustafa, Colonel Sajid Raheem, Dr. Junaid Aazer, Dr Mehnaz Fatima, Colonel Saeed Raja, Major Shahzad Nayyar, Group Captain Muneer Qasim, Mazhar Shahzad Khan, Ammad Azhar, Dr Aziz Faisal, Shahbaz Chohan, Dr. Fakhra Maureen, Mehnaz Benjamin, and singer Nazar Abbas were there who attended the programme.
University VC prof Dr Bushra Mirza addressed the gathering and appreciated all those who attended the event, and sent gratitude to the national fighters, soldiers and those who defend the ideological boundaries of the nation. In the end shields were given to the honourable guests.
