ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Railways and Head of the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit (PMDU) Bilal Azhar Kayani and Director General of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Major General Asad Cheema on Tuesday attended a meeting to hold consultations on proposals for cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in the railway sector and discussed strategies to move forward.
Senior officials from Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Railways, SIFC and National Logistics Cell (NLC) were present. Proposals related to the Railway Board and logistics were reviewed.
Earlier, on May 15, Bilal had met Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sarvan Jafarov and Chairman of Railways Rovshan Rustamov in Baku. Rovshan had assured Bilal of Azerbaijan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in the railway sector.
