Islamabad:Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, Islamabad Model School for Girls (IMSG) (I–X) Lakhwal, where she reviewed the ongoing Early Childhood Education (ECE) initiatives under the government’s education reform agenda.

Accompanied by key officials including Project Director Amara Awais, Director North Zone (American Lycetuff School) Naila Khusro, ECE Project Head Alveena Ahmad, ECE Project Manager Syeda Mariam, and Bhara Kahu Mentor Madiha Amir, the Minister engaged with both students and teachers, observing classroom dynamics and reviewing academic progress.

During the visit, Ms. Wajiha commended the high level of student engagement, particularly noting the enthusiastic participation in the “Jolly Phonics” activity. She took a keen interest in the learning materials presented, including student portfolios and classwork copies, which reflected significant academic growth.

The ECE classrooms, led by main teacher Sadia Shahzad and assistant teacher Saba Sadiq, currently serve 47 students across ECE 1 and ECE 2. The classrooms were found to be exceptionally well-maintained, with teaching resources, DLPs, and student materials neatly organised—indicative of the teachers' commitment and diligence.
