Two suspects arrested for setting police vehicle on fire

Rangers and police conducted an intelligence-based joint search operation in the Zia Colony area of Korangi on Friday, resulting in the arrest of two suspects involved in criminal activities and vandalism.

According to an official press release issued by the Sindh Rangers, the operation led to the arrest of Saddam Hussain Noonari and Nizamuddin. Law enforcement officials recovered two national identity cards, two mobile phones, and a sum of cash from the suspects.

The arrested individuals were accused of damaging government property and vehicles during violent protests. Specifically, they were alleged to had set a police mobile vehicle on fire during a protest held on April 27, 2025, on Kathore Link Road.

Officials added that four accomplices of the suspects had already been apprehended by law enforcement agencies in earlier operations. The two suspects, along with the recovered items, had been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.

The Sindh Rangers spokesperson urged the public to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest Rangers checkpost or the Rangers Helpline. The identity of informants would be kept strictly confidential.
