Nasir apprises British delegation of policies to promote investment

Sindh Minister for Energy and Planning & Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah met a delegation from the British High Commission at Ali House, Karachi, on Wednesday.

The delegation was led by Jo Moir, the head of development. Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting, particularly investment opportunities across various sectors.

Shah highlighted that Sindh offered profitable opportunities in development, agriculture, energy and other sectors. He stated that the province was rich in resources and held great potential for both domestic and foreign investors.

He informed the delegation that currently, several local and international investors were operating in the region with confidence due to the investment-friendly policies of the Sindh government under the vision of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.

He credited the special incentives and security measures provided by the government for boosting investor confidence.

The British delegation praised the Sindh government's pro-investment initiatives, noting that secure and profitable ventures remained the primary concern for both local and foreign investors.

They appreciated the facilities being offered and expressed satisfaction at the efforts of the energy and planning & development departments for the welfare of the people and the province’s progress.

The planing and development minister assured the British delegation that the Sindh government would extend full cooperation and provide all

necessary support to the British investors who would invest in the development, agriculture and energy sectors. Shah also presented traditional Sindhi gifts to the visiting delegates.
