The Quaidabad police on Friday arrested a man on charges of impersonating a police officer and recovered illegal weapons and forged identification cards.

The suspect, identified as Syed Zahid, was allegedly posing as a law enforcement officer in the area to deceive citizens and engage in various criminal activities. During the arrest, the police recovered a 9mm pistol, 29 rounds of ammunition, and five counterfeit police ID cards from Zahid's possession. The weapon had been sent for forensic analysis.

In interrogation, Zahid confessed to presenting himself as an ‘undercover officer’ to exploit civilians in the name of law enforcement. Police also uncovered his involvement in drug dealing within the local area. Authorities were now retrieving his criminal records from multiple police stations. A case has been registered against Zahid, and further investigation is ongoing.
