British Council, SSUET organise training workshop for teachers

A special workshop for teachers was organized in collaboration with the British Council of Pakistan and Sir Syed University on Thursday. Chancellor Sir Syed University Akbar Ali Khan said that teacher training is a guarantee of a better future for students.

Ms. Amanda Ingram, Country Exams Director of the British Council Pakistan, visited Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) to participate in a certificate distribution ceremony and engage in discussions on academic collaboration.

During her visit, Sir Syed University Ms Ingram met with SSUET’s Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan to explore opportunities for strengthening educational ties between the British Council and SSUET.

The meeting focused on enhancing academic programmes and fostering international partnerships. The certificate distribution ceremony was held to recognize students who completed British Council-Administered Programmes, highlighting the university's commitment to providing quality education aligned with international standards.

Ms Ingram expressed her appreciation for the SSUET's dedication to academic excellence and its efforts to prepare faculty for global challenges. She emphasized the British Council's ongoing support for initiatives that promote educational development in Pakistan.

Prof Dr Afzal Haq thanked Ms Ingram for her visit and reaffirmed the SSUET's commitment to collaborating with international organizations to enhance the university's academic offerings. This visit marks a significant step in strengthening the partnership between the SSUET and the British Council, aiming to provide faculty and students with greater access to international educational resources and opportunities. The Department of English in collaboration with the British Council organized the second research paper-writing workshop.
