Islamabad: The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, in collaboration with United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) under the Generation Unlimited initiative, is in the process of formulating the country's first-ever policy for adolescents and youth aged 10-29 years, according to officials.
They said the policy would address five critical areas of youth development: Education, Employability, Life Skills, Mental Health and Civic Participation. Officials said the policy was being designed around the guiding principle of “For the Youth, By the Youth,” ensuring the active involvement of young people in shaping their future. Member of the National Assembly Syeda Amnah Batool, who also serves as the focal person for the PMYP, is leading the initiative.
