The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Shah Latif Town police station near Razzaqabad, where a longstanding family dispute escalated into a fatal confrontation. The oolice and rescue teams transported the casualties to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

The deceased were identified as 20-year-old Usman, son of Munsif; 25-year-old Taqeer, son of Siddiq; and 30-year-old Tauseef, son of Bashir. The injured included 20-year-old Noman, son of Basheer; 45-year-old Munsif, son of Abdul Latif; as well as Rafiq and Saeedur Rehman.

SHO Amin Khosa stated that the conflict was rooted in a longstanding family feud. The situation escalated when a woman, estranged from her husband, returned to her parents’ home. During the confrontation, the woman's brother, Munir, allegedly opened fire on his brother-in-law and his relatives, killing three and injuring two. Two members of the woman's family were also injured during the scuffle.

Traffic police present at the scene managed to apprehend Munir and recovered a pistol along with ammunition. The police said further investigation was underway and efforts were ongoing to apprehend other suspects who fled the scene.
