RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench Thursday adjourned hearing into the government’s application for not getting the remand of the PTI former chairman in May 9 cases.
A two-member bench — comprising Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan and Justice Amjad Rafique — also disposed of various applications against the other accused, including the prosecution’s removal of Bushra Bibi’s name from the case.
Deputy prosecutor general sought time to discuss the application against the rejection of application for physical remand of the former chairman in the case registered by the New Town police station, on which the court adjourned the hearing.
Similarly, in an application challenging the ATC Sargodha’s order rejecting the application for physical remand of former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a case registered by the Taxila police station and another case registered against Hammad Azhar in Mianwali, the court granted time for preparation.
Meanwhile, a subordinate court ordered the removal of Bushra Bibi’s name from the May 9 cases, against which the prosecution had filed an appeal.
