Rawalpindi: City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani, has ordered the suspension and registration of a criminal case against three police officials found involved in a bribery scandal at the entrance of the Judicial Complex Rawalpindi.

The action follows the circulation of a viral video on social media on Wednesday, showing a man in a luxury car distributing money to police personnel stationed at the gate. In the footage, several police officers, including a sub-inspector, can be seen standing in a queue to receive the cash.

In response, CPO Hamdani suspended Inspector Manzoor, Sub-Inspector Wilayat, and Head Constable Saqlain — all of whom were identified in the video accepting money. A charge sheet has been issued, and orders have been given to register a formal case against the accused officials.

Calling the act "highly unprofessional," the CPO stated that legal and departmental action would be taken against those responsible for damaging the integrity and reputation of the police force.
