PBM mulls over relief efforts amid Indo-Pak tensions

Islamabad:Amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, Pakistan Baitul Mal (PBM) convened a high-level emergency meeting here on Wednesday to plan immediate relief efforts and anticipatory measures in the event of a crisis.

The meeting was chaired by PBM managing director Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt and attended by former PBM managing director and patron-in-chief of Pakistan Sweet Home Zamurrad Khan alongside senior PBM officials. Mr Butt expressed unwavering solidarity with the armed forces and emphasised the urgent need for a coordinated and inclusive relief plan.

“Provision of immediate relief, particularly food, shelter and blood, must be prioritised in coordination with all relevant institutions,” he said. Zamurrad Khan stressed the importance of preparedness and strategic planning to manage potential emergencies, calling for a comprehensive review of existing capacities.
