Youth killed over minor issue

BAHAWALPUR: A 19-year-old youth was killed over a minor issue at Asif Kot.
Asad asked Abbas Bhatti to give him a mobile phone. On refusal, Asad allegedly started beating him. The accused also struck the head of Abbas against a wall. As a result, he received serious head injuries. He was shifted to the Bahawalnagar DHQ Hospital where he died. Police have arrested the accused. It is worth mentioning that the accused’s father Jamil was also in police custody in another case.
COMMISSIONER VISITS HOSPITAL: Commissioner Saqib Zafar on Sunday visited the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH).
During the visit, the patients complained him about unavailability of medicines and absent doctors and nurses. To it, the commissioner directed the BVH administration to submit him a report regarding faulty equipment of the hospital and warned the absent doctors and nurses.
BVH emergency ward Director Dr Amir Mehmood Bukhari briefed the commissioner about the available facilities in the emergency ward.
MAN KILLS WIFE: A man killed his wife over a domestic dispute at Basti Malkani in Shedani police limits.
Ghulam Muhammad allegedly poisoned his wife Hajiran Bibi to death. He was burying her when locals called police, who took the body into custody. According to the locals, the accused has brought his estranged wife back from the house of her parents four days ago.
