Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Monem Zafar on Wednesday stated that the entire nation stands united against blatant Indian aggression.
Addressing a joint demonstration of political workers at the Karachi Press Club, Zafar said that national unity would provide vital strength to Pakistan’s armed forces. He emphasised that Pakistan, being a nuclear power, would not succumb to the cowardly actions of Modi-led India.
He accused India of targeting Pakistani civilians under the guise of a false flag operation in occupied Kashmir. He commended the people of Pakistan for displaying unity in the face of hostility. He urged the public to remain vigilant against any enemy action. Zafar also recommended that the government initiate civil defence training programmes for youth to better prepare them for any emergency situation.
Delivering a message through Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah — who was present at the demonstration — Zafar called for a national conference to send a strong and unified message to both the enemy and the international community. He concluded by expressing full confidence in the operational capabilities of Pakistan’s military and hoped for a strong and appropriate response to Indian hostilities.
