ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Muscat, Oman, on a one day official visit on Sunday.
Senior officials of Oman’s interior ministry and Pakistan’s Ambassador Syed Naveed Safdar Bukhari welcomed the minister at the airport.
Later, in a meeting with Oman’s Interior Secretary Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud, Interior Minister Naqvi said Pakistan wanted to increase cooperation with Oman to stop narcotics and human smuggling.
He was also scheduled to hold meetings with high ranking officials of the Oman government for briefing them on the situation in the region and Pakistan’s stance on it.
