Hearing in May 9 cases put off till 10th

Court issued a notice to the prosecution after the initial hearing

RAWALPINDI: The Special Anti-Terrorism Court of Rawalpindi has adjourned the hearing of 11 cases related to May 9, including the GHQ attack case, against former PTI chairman Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others until May 10.

The court also postponed proceedings on the interim bail applications of Azam Swati, Umair Niazi, Zain Elahi, Saad Ali Khan and Taimur Nawaz in two cases registered at the Saddar Hassan Abdal Police Station. Meanwhile, notices were issued to parties on the request of PTI Women’s Wing President Kanwal Shozaib for permission to go to the United States, for a reply on May 5.

Shozaib, through her lawyer, took the stand in the application that she has not been able to meet her son for two years. Her son’s graduation ceremony is on May 18, for which she has been invited by the college. The court issued a notice to the prosecution after the initial hearing.
