A labourer was killed upon enmity while eight other people were injured in incidents of robbery, resistance to mugging and firing in different areas of the city on Saturday.
A person was killed in a firing incident near a bungalow in Block 2, Khalid Bin Waleed Road, PECHS Society, Ferozabad police remit, and his body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
SHO Inam Junejo said that the deceased was identified as 50-year-old Pir Sahib Khan. Initial investigation revealed that the incident was a result of personal enmity.
The deceased was a labourer and his family belonged to Waziristan. The man was sitting in a rickshaw when two unidentified motorcycle-borne suspects opened fire indiscriminately and fled the scene.
The deceased was hit by seven bullets on different parts of his body. Police summoned the crime scene unit to the scene and collected evidence from the spot, while six shells of 30-bore pistol bullets were recovered and taken into custody, which will be sent to the forensic division. The police are investigating the incident further.
