Farmers urged to save mango crops from pests attack

MULTAN: Assistant Agriculture Information Director Naveed Asmat Kahloon Saturday urged mango farmers to save their mango crops from pests attack to meet its world-over demand.
Addressing a press conference, Kahloon said mango is the most important fruit of the country which is exported to almost more than forty countries. He said the demand of mango is increasing in new markets and our farmers are facing difficulties owing to fruit fly attack. He stressed a proper awareness drive to sensitise illiterate farmers about saving the mango crop from pests attack. He said our farmers mostly use pesticide whereas the world has serious concerns about excessive use of pesticide.
