ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mishal Yousafzai has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court challenging the Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) decision denying her permission to meet former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan.
The appeal, submitted on Thursday under Article 185(3) of the Constitution, seeks leave to appeal against the IHC judgment issued on March 24, 2025.
In her plea, Yousafzai urged the apex court to set aside the IHC ruling, arguing that it is contrary to the facts on record. She claimed that jail authorities have refused to comply with the IHC’s own orders regarding the meeting, and alleged that the High Court’s decision ignored both the merits of the case and the issue of contempt of court. She called for the Supreme Court to intervene in the interest of justice.
